Aside from the fact that there might be many people living in the community, giving people a key can be somewhat problematic if you don’t know them too well.

In a residential community, you might need a gate and a fence to keep people out. However, depending on the type of community you live in, the level of strictness and selectivity that the gate needs to abide by might be more complicated than you thought.

Let’s say that a new member of the community wants to bring over some friends that are somewhat loud and interested in drinking and partying. In many communities, peace and quiet is very important, and if you don’t abide by the rules, you could even be kicked out.
